"After Zeneca closed it's Stoney Creek doors, I decided to take some time off to be with our kids, my mother (who was in the early stages of Alzheimer's) and help my husband (Norm) with his self-employed business (bookwork, A/P, A/R, etc).
Did that for about 3-4 years and then we decided to move North. So, in June of 2002 we bought a piece of property in Marten River, Ontario (60 km North of North Bay), built a house and continued to run Norm's business as a partnership with my sister and her husband.
In 2004 we decided to make another move so that the kids wouldn't be so isolated and moved just a little west to a town called Cache Bay, which is just a blink of an eye from Sturgeon Falls (40 km North of North Bay). Sturgeon Falls is perfect. Big enough for the kids to have things to do like have jobs but small enough not to get into any real trouble and Cache Bay is that small quiet town that Norm and I enjoy but we're within minutes of the hub of the action that the kids need.
I decided to go back to work in December of 2006 and landed a job in North Bay at the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit. At the Health Unit my title is Program Administrative Assistant for Vaccine Preventable Diseases. In this role I am responsible for the purchasing and distribution of all Ministry and Payable vaccines that are given in-house at the Health Unit and to the District though physicians offices, hospitals, etc. I really enjoy my job.
Our three children are Joe (22), living and working in North Bay with his long-term girlfriend, Chris (19), living at home and has just been accepted to Canadore College in Police Foundations and has just been asked to play on their basketball team in September and Candice (17), just finishing Grade 11 in Sturgeon Falls.
That's all I have for now and am so excited to have learned about this alumni list that Wendy has put together. Thanks Wendy....."

"Left Zeneca Agro in late 1997/early 1998 when Stoney Creek was shut down. Went to Pharma side of Zeneca after that and we were merged into AstraZeneca in mid 1999. Worked in various roles at AstraZeneca from Business Planning Manager to Director - Financial planning, reporting and taxation.
Left AZ at the end of 2010 (after 19 years in the combined ICI/Zeneca/AstraZeneca world) and have been the VP Finance at Taro Pharmaceuticals in Brampton since then.
I live in Oakville with my wife, Cindy and two relatively new children (Katarina who is 16 months old and Jack who is 2 months old). I now know the trials and tribulations (and of course the joy) of children - better late than never!
Still keep in semi regular contact with Gary Campbell, Cal Samson, Janine Truchon and Dave Wachnuik. Thanks for all the follow up. Scott"
